After a brief wait, Pokémon Home is now available for download on iOS, Android and Nintendo Switch. The application designed by Nintendo allows you to transfer your Pokémon to the last entry in the franchise, Pokémon Sword and Shield, from previous Switch and 3DS games like Pokémon X and Y. In the future, this will also work with Pokémon Go.
The application can be downloaded for free, but if you want everyone to take advantage of all its features, you must subscribe to the Home Premium plan. The subscription will cost you $ 3 every 30 days, $ 5 every 90 days or $ 16 once a year.
Although you can use the application for free through the basic plan, it limits you to storing only 30 Pokémon. You also cannot transfer monsters that you may have to some of the older 3DS games (as well as DS and Game Boy Advance) because the base plan is not compatible with Pokémon Bank.
Even if you don’t plan on using Home a lot, it’s worth downloading. The first time you start the application on iOS and Android, you will receive one of Kanto’s initiators: Charmander, Squirtle or Bulbasaur, for free. In Switch, meanwhile, you will get a free Pikachu. Oh, and there is a crazy new Professor Oak to guide you through the use of the application.
